Who should undergo special OCT angiography and when?
- Everyone over the age of 35. OCT Angiography can detect many eye diseases in their early stages, before any symptoms are felt.
- The OCT Angiography procedure is quick, safe, completely painless, and does not require the use of intravenous contrast agents. The examination, including a consultation with a specialist about the results, takes approximately 30 minutes.
- This examination is not covered by public health insurance in the Czech Republic. The fee for this diagnostic test is 1200 CZK, which includes eye scanning and a detailed report of the findings by a specialist.
