A new level of precision, safety, and quality in cataract surgery

We are taking cataract surgery one step further. We are introducing into clinical practice a state-of-the-art digital system for planning cataract procedures, enabling an even more precise, safer, and better-controlled course of surgery – always tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

We are proud to say that this technology is currently available in routine clinical practice at only 11 centres worldwide. At the same time, we are the first centre in the entire GEM region (Southern and Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa) and also the first in the CSEE region, encompassing 18 countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe.

The SMART Cataract DX system by Alcon allows surgeons to digitally and in great detail plan every step of the procedure. Thanks to integrated data and intelligent planning, the risk of errors is significantly reduced and the overall precision of the surgery is increased.
