Life without glasses is great
At the beginning of March, we attended the international congress ESCRS Winter Meeting 2026, which was held this year in Helsinki. This prestigious professional meeting is among the most important events in the field of ophthalmic surgery worldwide. Each year, leading ophthalmologists, surgeons, and researchers from many countries gather here to share their experience, present the latest scientific findings, and discuss the future development of modern ophthalmology.
It is a great honor for our clinic that our doctor, Dr. Andrea Janeková, also spoke at the main symposium, where she was invited as one of the keynote speakers. The symposium, opened by the President of the ESCRS society, focused on modern approaches to the treatment of presbyopia – the natural age-related loss of the eye’s ability to focus on near objects.
In her lecture, Dr. Janeková shared insights from everyday clinical practice and presented approaches that today allow patients to achieve high-quality vision at multiple distances. The connection between the latest scientific knowledge and the practical experience of physicians is one of the greatest benefits of such international meetings.
Congress meetings like this are always a great source of inspiration for us. They provide not only new information about modern technologies and surgical techniques, but also an opportunity for open exchange of experience among doctors from different countries and healthcare systems.
We are proud to be part of these professional discussions and to share experience from our everyday practice. The knowledge we gain at such events is brought back to our clinic, where we gradually incorporate it into the further development of care for our patients.
